Creating 2D and
3D images inside a crystal, without touching the outside
surfaces, is
done by focusing a laser beam inside the crystal and fracturing
a
tiny amount of the material. This “dot” is repeated, at a rate
of up to 3000 dots per second and a density of up to 250,000
dots per square
inch to create “clouds” which uniquely and
beautifully recreat e
pictures or designs.
The images have basically two sources.
One are designs created with two or three dimensional design
software while the other is based on pictures taken with regular
or with 3D
cameras. Jamieson is offering a choice of two
cameras, both complete with 3D software and fully integrated
with the machine for easy to learn and trouble free operation.
You also have a
 choice
of two machine configurations. One a floor model, the other a
desk top model. The floor model is quite
narrow and fits easily into a tight space next to your desk. The
desk top model is easily portable and is available with a
carrying cas e.
Q-Switched Green Laser
The heart of each machine is its Q-Switched, Diode Pumped, Green
Laser which, together with its power supply, is built right here
in the US. The laser head is clean room assembled
and hermetically sealed. There are no adjustments, assuring
excellent long term reliability and low ownership cost. Its
great beam quality (M2<1.2) and its blazing speed
allows the machine to engrave up to 3000 dots per second into
the highest quality images.
